KATE DAISY GRANT

What people are saying:
“Kate’s creative soul finds a home in her dazzling songs and voice. A sublime homage to Trees, but so much more. This is wonderful”
Mike Heron (The Incredible String Band)

**** A rich and deeply mytho-poetic set of 13 songs drawing on Ogham (the Druidic ‘tree alphabet’) and evoking some of the earliest botanical colonisers after the Ice Age: birch, oak, pine, hazel, alder, ash among them. Grant’s fine voice and avant-folk artist Nick Pynn’s rich and dappled musical settings raise this album up to the crown without losing sight of its roots.

“Songs For The Trees” is an enchanting album. Inspired by ancient arboreal folklore, Grant’s lyrics are captivating, enhanced by Pynn’s arrangements that give the album a spellbinding quality. It’s one of the year’s finest albums and an evergreen for the future.

"Songs for the Trees" is a charming, spiritual, and poetic album, with musical language and arrangements that captivate listeners, transporting them into a magical suspension of time. It's both a celebration of botanical biodiversity and a plea for its protection and conservation." Ciro De Rosa, Blogfoolk magazine
